Biography

Mimí Out is an Italian drummer / producer / multi-instrumentalist / mix engineer.

Born in a family of artists and musicians in 1987 on the Amalfi Coast, he began studying drums with nationally renowned teachers at the age of 5 and at 11 he entered the CONSERVATORY OF MUSIC in Salerno; he would graduate in Percussion Instruments 7 years later. During these years he had his first professional experiences, ranging from the stage orchestra of the "Giuseppe Verdi Theatre" in Salerno to tribute and cover bands of different genres. He was part of the "Percussion Drumming", a 6-piece band of percussionists that played also with nationally acclaimed Tullio De Piscopo. For 1 year he was part of the first jazz quartet ever hired on European cruise ships and in 2009 he moved to Florence where he worked with musicians and artists of the Italian pop/rock scene, independent artists and various tribute and cover bands. He was the live drummer for Lisa Kant with Irene Grandi, played for the Musical "Tenacious D: A Tenacious Drama" and "Negramaro Tribute Band". In the meantime he worked in studio for some local and Italian independent artists and he was the drum teacher at the "Centro Studi Musica e Arte" in Florence. In 2012 he moved to London, where he lived and worked for 7 years. He featured in the world wide famous "GUITAR HERO LIVE" as the official drummer of the band, "Broken Tide", in the top level of the video game and he had numerous live and studio experiences. He would work both as a drummer and producer with independent and internationally renowned artists in some of the most recognizable studios in the world (ABBEY ROAD STUDIOS, TILE YARD STUDIOS ...) ranging genres from the BeatBox to the Math- Rock, from Jazz to Pop. After an intense 1 year course, he graduated in Music Production and Sound Engineering at the ABBEY ROAD INSTITUTE LONDON. In 2017, together with his friend and colleague Francis Jupiter, he formed the duo Synth-Pop/Alt-Rock SCREAMS FROM THE SUN. To promote their music they started gigging and busking in London, and had 2 mini-tour in the UK. The highlights of their professional journey as a duo was the performance with Jared Leto (30 seconds to Mars, "Dallas Buyers Club"...) and their first 2 singles ending up on "ROLLING STONES FRANCE". At the end of 2018 he moved in Florence where he continued to work as a drummer, producer, mixer and sound engineer with various independent artists and tribute bands and as a drum teacher at the "Art Music Academy" in Sesto Fiorentino. In 2023 Mimí Out begins a new chapter in his life, still continuing to work as a musician but this time his hub "THE PLEASUREDOME" returns to his hometown Marina di Vietri sul Mare, a small village based in Amalfi Coast.
